Island Living in Islamorada
Islamorada - pronounced "i-la-mor-ah-da", Spanish for "purple isle", is the heart of the Village of Islamorada.
The quaint charm of this area is unmatched anywhere - a devine vacation destination, fishing backcountry and deep sea, and diving the spectacular reefs - it's an amazing place to live.
Years ago, Islamorada referred only to the island of Upper Matecumbe Key. Today, "The Villages of Islamorada" consist of the islands of Plantation Key, Windley Key, Upper Matecumbe and Lower Matecumbe Keys - from Mile Marker 86 through Mile Marker 66.
